Archos Mp3 Players | The Gold Class In Video Mp3 Players
Portable media devices for music and videos are all the craze these days, and the Apple
iPod is the unquestionable leader in terms of marketplace share and unit sales. That being said though, doesn't
signify that it is the only iPod on the marketplace that's high-quality. There are quite a lot of exceptional
alternatives to the ubiquitous Apple brand that are equivalent not only in features but also in quality and cost.
For example, the latest Gen 5 line up of Archos MP3
players gets my vote as the best device for the money. Not too long ago I picked
up the 80 GB 605 WiFi model and I am so impressed with it that I am not the least bit depressed that I got rid of
my iPod.
There are quite a few distinctive qualities that disconnect the Archos MP3 players from
other brands of players on the marketplace. It of course plays music like all the rest of them, and with the 80
gigs of storage that I have, I've been able to put every song that I have onto the 605 WiFi with tons of room left
over. With this unit you get quite a few distinctive types of file support, including the.WMA protected or not, the
.wav, and .mp3. It is a really nice feature because it means that I don't have to wait around for conversion
software in order to download my songs. Features love this make it a much more versatile and convenient player than
many other brands.
You get a bunch more than a simple music player with the Gen 5 line up though. Archos MP3 players
have a superb 4.3-inch full-color touchscreen that can be activated with the touch of a finger or the included
stylus, making navigation through the various menus a simple task. The brilliant quality of the display makes it
perfect for watching TV shows, streaming YouTube videos, or even watching movies. The picture is amazingly sharp
and shows up clearly in lots of assorted lighting situations. I only shake my head and feel sorry for people who
try to watch movies on the tiny iPod display. Why put yourself through that when the bigger, better Archos MP3
players are available?
What I love most about Archos MP3 players is the way I can handle all of my contents
without having to be tied to a laptop. I can download my songs and movies and other videos on the go because it has
a WiFi connection. Also, the integrated Opera web browser makes it effortless for me to surf the Internet, check my
email, and play games wherever I am -- something that's not possible with most other devices out there. With most
of the other brands, you don't have the option of downloading on the go or making any updates until you are
actually at a laptop.
If you really think about making the acquisition of a portable media player, don't just
do what everyone else does and buy one of those costly iPods just because of what it is. I absolutely suggest
giving the Gen 5 Archos MP3 player a spin. They are a lot more sophisticated scientifically and they have superior
prices than all of the rivalry. Getting more for less... isn't that what smart shopping is all
about?
